Japan imports

In 2018, Japan imports about 748.4 billion US Dollar. Japanese import is compared with global impot as Japanese import is 4.2 percent of total global import. It is approximately, 17.788 trillion dollar in 2018.
In 2018, the 60.3 percent of total imports are from asian region. Due, to geographical strategic cause, Japan give priority the countries of Asian continent.

In that context, If Bangladeshi product be a quality standard Japan should be a large market for Bangladeshi product.

Distribution channel in Japan

How the product will enter to final destiny is ensured by the distribution channel.
Distribution channel in Japan, undergone a substantial consolidation.  The distribution channel for consumer goods and distribution channel for industrial goods are somewhat different.
Due to limited space and dense urban population in most case for consumer goods the retail points are the final point of sell.
In Japanese culture selling and buying happens by a face to face contact.
Japanese distribution system bears the trace of Keiretsu system.

Different types of distribution channel should be use to selling purpose. Though, Japan is an Island combined country cost effective distribution on river way is possible. Road way distribution is also very efficientdue to having high quality transportation system all over Japan.



Statistics says that Japanese people have a positive attitude to purchase high quality product with highest price.
The ratio of eBook purchasing from online book store Amazon, Japan place in number one in the world.
Japanese people extensively uses internet. They are very familiar with purchasing product from online store.
Most of the people in Japan is connected with online money transaction website, ratio of bank credit card holder is a large amount. Hence, Japanese people can pay online easily.
Even they feel it comfortable shopping option. Due to excessive workload in Job, Japanese people can manage a few time to do their daily life personal work. They found less chance to go to retail shop. For this reason they are very familiar with online shopping.
The most popular online marketplace in Japan is eBay, Amazon.

Never try to sell Umbrella in Desert

If umbrella be the main tools to protect rain, never try to sell umbrella in desert. Because, there have no rain.
There is no rain, there No demand of Umbrella.

 Hence, Identify the place for any product to sell is important. Where product have extensive demand there product will be boost in selling.

In desert Mineral water may be an extensive demanded product.

First Know about Japan

Selling is not an easy task. A sales people first have to consider for whom the product is produced. Where it will be distributed and marketed?
Know about peoples culture
Though, an effective selling is happened through an effective communication, it is important to know about customers everything. Culture, behavior, socio economic status, age, gender each and everything should be consider.
If product is costly price, it will be slow running product in the area of low peoples earning. though, Japanese peoples earning is high, they have high purchasing capability.
Not each country allows each product to selling. Any product may be very high consumeable without any legal restriction, but it may be prohibited in another country. Hence, it is important to taken under consideration about the legal aspacts of Japan that your product marketing in Japan is legal or not.
For example, Bitcoin trading in Japan is very popular, But not in bangladesh, due to announcement of Bangladesh Bank not to do any transaction of Bitcoin.
Peoples, behavior is very important. Marketing is very difficult in Japan then other parts of world. It is an wondering fact that, a huge number of company exists in Japan that they have no any marketing manager.
Japanese people purchase producton the basis of product quality which is experienced from many last long. A new brand development in Japan is difficult. On the other hand in western country, through extensive marketing policy a new product can be establish in market easily.
